When and Where
There are two Maker Nights and one Maker Day each month, so you’re never more than a couple of weeks from the next one…
Maker Night (2nd Wed): 8th May, 6:00pm – 9pm at DoES Liverpool, 4th Floor Gostins Building, Hanover Street.
Maker Day (2nd Sat): 11th May, 10am to 5pm at DoES Liverpool, 4th Floor Gostins Building, Hanover Street.
Maker Night (4th Mon): Not on in May due to Spring Bank Holiday
If the dates above are passed – Don’t worry, we probably just forgot to update this page! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to be sure or have a question to ask us.
For Maker Nights come along any time from 6pm. If it’s your first time then we’ll have an introductory session at 7:30pm to introduce you to the facilities we have and to everyone there. If you’re a regular then you can just turn up and start making! On Maker Days just turn up any time from 10am-5pm and introduce yourself. We’ll try to keep an eye out for newcomers but we’re a friendly bunch so if we look busy, just grab someone and say “Hello!”
You might want to bring your laptop if you have one, particularly if you want to try out one of the Arduino kits that are normally on hand. Otherwise, bring your own projects to work on – be it making new things or hacking existing ones, sharing ideas, getting help or simply to show off.
Both events are open from 6pm with an introductory session for newcomers at 7:30pm. We finish by 9:00pm on the night, at which point we may make our way to a nearby pub for some post making drinks.
2nd Wednesday & 4th Monday of the month, at DoES Liverpool
All Maker Night events are held in the DoES Liverpool space on the 4th floor of Gostins Building, Hanover Street.
2nd Saturday of the month, at DoES Liverpool
We also hold a full day of making on the second Saturday of each month in the DoES Liverpool space on the 4th floor of Gostins Building, Hanover Street.
That gives people more time to work on things, and runs from 10am until 5pm.
